The Mariam Foundation for Fighting Cancer participated today in the 10th Palestine Marathon in Bethlehem, reaffirming the right of Palestinian cancer patients in Gaza and the West Bank to access treatment and healthcare with dignity and freedom.
The foundation’s participation aimed to amplify the voices of children battling cancer in Gaza and the West Bank, who face daily difficulties reaching hospitals and treatment centers due to checkpoints, restrictions on movement, and the complete lack of available cancer treatment for patients in Gaza. The participation also carried the message that healthcare, dignity, and the right to life are fundamental human rights, not privileges.
On this occasion, the Mariam Foundation reaffirmed its continued commitment to supporting cancer patients and defending their right to safe treatment and a dignified life, while stressing that the children of Palestine deserve to live their childhood in peace and safety like children everywhere else in the world.
