The conference was presented by the media professional Fadi Zaghaireh, and was attended by a large crowd at the Mariam Foundation Center in Nazareth, in the presence of the Foundation’s partners for October this year, the three Nazareth hospitals – the French Hospital, the Holy Family Hospital and the Nazareth Hospital, and the Orthodox Community Council.
Mohammed Hamed, CEO and Founder of the Mariam Foundation, welcomed everyone and expressed his gratitude to all the Foundation’s partners and attendees for accepting the invitation. He reviewed the expansion of the Mariam Foundation’s work and project, especially in the West Bank and Gaza in recent years, stressing that this year’s October message includes shedding light on more than half a million women in Gaza who have no access to early detection or treatment for breast cancer. The conference included speeches on behalf of the presidency of the three Nazareth hospitals and the Orthodox Community Council, expressing the importance of sending the health awareness message for October Blossom under all circumstances.
Finally, artist Rania Ateek presented a short artistic segment, after which the Mariam Foundation Center in Nazareth was lit up in pink, to send an awareness message to all women that early detection of breast cancer saves lives.
